The Jessie Ball duPont Library is a component of the Sewanee’s Information Technology Services division. The primary mission of the Library is to provide the members of this academic community with access to resources that support the current and anticipated instructional, research, and service programs of the University of the South. It is the Library’s mission to provide instruction in the effective use of these resources, and to promote critical thinking and life-long learning, so that the Library is central to the educational mission of the University. The Library also contributes to the culture and informational resources of the surrounding community in addition to serving as one of the Federal Government Depository libraries.

ILLiad
The Interlibrary Loan Service at the University of the South provides access to materials not
held by duPont Library but which are held by other libraries in the United States. Materials requested should be for class use and individual research. While some recreational materials are accepted, users are encouraged to use public library facilities for such materials.
ILLiad is duPont library's web-based Interlibrary Loan (ILL) management system. Users are able to track the progress of all their ILLiad requests. Access to all requests made by the user via Illiad is possible once the user has registered with the system, and the entire history of any request is retained. Further information on the use of ILLiad, see the various headings on the main ILLiad page.
