Opening

Dear Michael and Mother Spirit: Merry Christmas, dear spiritual parents--dear Paradise Creator Son and Daughter--heads of our Local Universe here with nigh on to four million evolutionary worlds like our own.

When we say--Merry Christmas--we also wish to acknowledge and celebrate not only your own life, Michael--as Jesus, but also the Urantia Book’s other four Epic Revelations of when the spiritual family of our Local Universe intervened with life on Urantia. They too helped evolve human culture and civilization, ever guiding us toward peace and love. Our Merry Christmas wishes to acknowledge their contributions as well.

Also--this time especially--we thank the two of you for your last few lessons giving us the means to perceive and experience the God-given part of our human lives--the unique individuality in each other. Mother Spirit, you acknowledged the challenge this perception occasions by the way you often call us “Little Walking “Infinities”--not only to each other, but even to ourselves.

(Our God-given unique human personality)

You point out this God-given aspect--our human personalities--are ultimately impenetrable and unfathomable, even to ourselves. It does take courage to open ourselves to this infinity in each other. We need to evolve our own personal ways of being comfortable with this profound fact, because here is the reward of genuine friendship.

And so, dear Michael, welcome. We await with open minds and hearts for your blessings.

Lesson

Michael: Good evening, my children: this is Michael. Mother Spirit and I were very happy to give you those last few lessons on how to not only fill your souls, but how to fulfill your human lives. You can develop the special abilities required to be wonderfully social creatures.

(You are a purposefully created being)

We always tease you with being a “creature” because you were very definitely created, and not only a billion years ago by the Life Carriers who started life on your world. For then came the ways Mother Spirit and I shepherded the evolution of life along, all the way down to human beings, for a million or so years. Later, along came you, right from your own two earthly parents. All of this, my dears, gives you a basis, a kind of firm ground, to stand on in this living, organic world of yours. Accept and feel that you too are a gift right from God, right from the First Source and Center of this whole swirling universe around you, of literally hundreds of millions of galaxies.

His physical creation, like your own essence of who you are and who you will always be, is also his unfathomable gift to you. Like him, you too are your own living source and center. From yourself you co-create--along with this universe all around you—all you experience. You yourself are constantly co-creating your life with your own spiritual nature. All you know as reality is partly you, my dears.

(You are inherently, unavoidably subjective)

Even though reality may seem totally objective, so enormous and powerful you can feel yourself to be just the tiniest little speck in it, still this experience is partly and inescapably you. You never ultimately escape your own subjectivity because you too are also a subject in reality. Your own experiences are instantaneously tied in with your own abilities.

This is why we--right along with your earthly parents, family, friends, and teachers--the whole society around you—encourage you to develop your abilities. Your perceptions and experiences are dependent upon an open-minded attitude in the face of the challenges that inevitably come your way. Challenges are part of life on your world, surrounded as you are by other human beings, other Little Walking Infinities.

(The nigh-infinite Urantia Book)

This is your life, my dears. This is all you are, and all that you have. Consider what a gift your generation has in your profound, humanly bottomless and nigh-infinite gift of your Urantia Book. Consider anew its sixty-page index written by extra-human authors of dozens of different orders of spiritual beings. They introduce you to not only the physical cosmos, but to yourself. You have Mother Spirit’s Mind/Sprit Adjutants. This Paradise-origin being, this Daughter of the Infinite Spirit is actually part of you, augmenting the abilities that you grow with her help. Grow your abilities to perceive and realize these things. Cherish your soul/memories. Do all you can to be physically healthy in their regard.

There is no end to how broad and deep you can advance your understanding. This is especially possible now in your electronic age with your marvelous computers which can give you the whole history of your world’s art, literature, science, medicine, cosmology, geology, and on and on. There need be no limit to your understanding.

(Curiosity—courage--challenges—rewards)

All this sheer possibility tickles your curiosity with the courage to meet the challenges of the next day, and reap its rewards. God’s wonderful gift of curiosity, with Mother Spirit’s blessed Adjunct of Counsel, helps you grow an ever-greater ability to be one with others. Receive, and enjoy, and use their counsel. Give freely of your own counsel to help support them in their lives.

Think of Mother Spirit’s boost and dimension of worship as an active thankfulness for all that is given to you, moment by moment. It can extend from your own living body to all that is surrounding you. Also, through her presence, appreciate your wisdom--literally your ability to use everything that being alive has taught you so far. Meet each day’s challenges and reap the rewards that will become part of your eternal soul.

(Into a clear, star-studded Oh Holy Night--where you are headed)

Oh, my goodness!--my dears. This is just to briefly enumerate some of the blessings of your first human life. Go out on a clear, star-studded night. It will be Oh Holy Night when you look up and begin to realize: All that out there!--that is where you are headed. You will encounter that out there, one world at a time, forever. Think of those first Morontia worlds with their rewards for your having survived.

Yet here you still are! There you will also be on a physical world, but one transformed with a marvel that goes on and on--like every day offers you here on your beloved Urantia. Can you see how your soul gives you one foot in a Morontia reality already?

As Mother Spirit has said: As you sit on the edge of your bed each morning doing your best to gather yourself together and wake up as much as you can, when you take your first step--if you are really paying attention—you realize you are stepping off into a world somewhat new right from God’s and your own hand. It’s his idea of what reality should be for personal beings everywhere. Your reality is living, unfathomable balance between a whole physical universe that is continuing along with his absolute laws, plus your own spiritual creativity. There is no end to his uniform laws, yet they are so arranged to be responsive to personal beings of every order. This is true from the heads of the Super Universes, down to you, marking each moment with your uniqueness. This is most profoundly true for you as you drive to work through familiar--yet always different--heavy traffic each morning, again.

(Infinite, challenging irony)

These are your human lives, my dears--with infinity in every dimension. Mother Spirit and I are moved to acknowledge the real challenges that living physical beings, such as you, are constantly facing, where there seem to be so many profound ironies.

For one: physical pain is reality that can be, and has been for some, grown to the point of death. Still, those extremely rare souls who were born without pain sensation have historically proven to be very short-lived, pain is such a great teacher that can be depended upon. To heal something as common as a pulled muscle or a stubbed toe, pain can guide you along the way to recovery by simply exploring and discovering what doesn’t hurt to move.

(Divine aspects of human life)

Life holds these profound rewards within each challenge. They are a signature of the divine aspects of your lives. Your own personal human experience reflects aspects of God’s divinity that your Urantia Book so wonderfully delineates. Not only your singular personality comes from God the Father. Your spiritual nature is a gift from the Second Person—the Eternal Son. Your physical universe and person originate from the Third Person—the Infinite Spirit. Every moment you too make real aspects of the Trinity, the Supreme Being, God the infinite, God the ultimate, God the absolute.

These traits of divinity are part of your human reality, dimensions of life itself. Even if yet beyond your comprehensive grasp, you do have them. You have them to be lived as they unfold the next unique moment in time for you. They hold a promise of eternal life beyond your immediate comprehensive grasp. You must await each next moment not yet here, but coming for sure.

What it is to be alive!--especially in the midst of life all around you. We have teased you with the profound fact that--from the human standpoint--who needs the thousands and thousands of different kinds of spiders, or fish in the oceans, or trees or grasses, that you are surrounded with? In addition, your Urantia Book teases you with the different kinds of Morontia life you will come to meet, and embrace, and add to your soul. There, there are not only different plants and animals, but a whole hierarchy of celestial personal spiritual beings.

(You too are a creative source and center)

Oh, my dears! It is so much fun to overwhelm you with God’s creation. He puts you at a living focal point of your own creative source and center. It’s the way he shares his essence with you.

Mother Spirit and I bid you grow your ability to respond to his gifts. Meet and greet his challenges for the rewards they contain, from a whole physical universe right down to the eyes of your dearest friend.

This is what makes Christmas so merry with the blessings a Happy New Year offers. It is with a great sense of humor I’m sure you can understand, when I say, “Enough!--For Now.” We will meet again. But for now, if you have any questions or comments, we can play with them.

Dialogue

Student: Michael, I have a question from last month’s transmission. Mother Spirit made a statement that the evil people have done to others becomes a part of their soul forever. While the Urantia Book distinguishes between error, sin, and inequity, and evil can be in any one of those, I was under the impression that our soul—a combination of events from our free will--as seen by our God-given Adjuster, our soul is a repository of only positive and good actions.

Her statement would mean our souls include every evil and erroneous thing we have done. What exactly do we take over to the other side? It would make sense that, if we are going to have remedial training on Morontia Worlds, it would be a critique of everything we did in our lives. But I’m kind-of confused about the whole thing. Is there anything you can clarify for me on this, please?

(What your souls contain forever)

Michael: Oh yes, my son. Thank you for asking. Your soul does contain all your experiences. There is no need to take a human life and cut it in pieces to save only parts. Keep in mind your soul is God’s perspective on your life. It includes his understanding forgiveness--especially for you to yourself. As you live in God’s Eternal Now, your soul’s perspective holds the necessary understanding for possible self-forgiveness. Meditate and tune in to it.

Abandon your saying: “Forgive and forget.” Just forgive. There is no need for forgetfulness. You need never forget and lose anything you have ever done. Then you would have only part of your human experience, and miss some of its most valuable lessons. Already--as you get older, you can look back on maybe terrible things you did, and realize they were done out of ignorance. You were a young person. You may have been cruel on some occasions without intending to be so. But they were--and they will continue to be--part of your life experience.

(Your soul is enormous)

This is why Mother Spirit and I emphasize that your spiritual soul is a million, a billion times greater than your readily recallable surface memories. Even with memories you need the deepest meditation to fully feel—if for only a few precious moments—what life was like when you were, say, ten years old. Remember: it is God being part of your soul and saving your life for you, as well as for himself. This is the fullness of your soul.

Yet, as Mother Spirit too has taught, it is not every moment, nor every delightful physical thing you have known. It is mostly your own unfathomable self, along with the others you have known--good and bad. This is what fills your soul. By comparison to a hot dog or hamburger--no matter how delicious--another human being and their soul is infinite. They are what fills--and fulfills--your soul.

It is mostly your relationships with these other “walking infinities” that grace your soul. They become more valuable as you continue to grow experience and abilities of appreciation. This is what you emerge with from your human life someday: everything you have been and done as God sees and saves it. Does this help you get some feeling for the enormity of your soul, and how it includes everything?

Student: Yes, it does. It brings new light to the whole thing. Thank you very much for sharing that with me.

(Genuine regret—once accepted and understood)

Michael: Part of the pain you may suffer is for things you realize you failed to do. You wish you had done them differently. You have a saying: “The saddest words of tongue or pen are those which go, ‘It might have been.’” So that too is part of your human sensibility, is it not? One way you learn is sometimes with deep, profound, and genuine regret, once accepted and understood.

Student: Well, thank you.

Michael: You are welcome, my son. Be in my love. Some things can only mentioned in brief because there is no end to how much they could be explained.

As we have taught before, eternal life is not forced on anyone. A human being, upon awakening in the soulful Mansion Worlds, has the fullness of their own soul all the more real to them. Realizing the pain they have caused others can be so overwhelming it is part of God’s mercy to let them cease to exist. As you know, there are higher spiritual beings who no longer exist due to the Lucifer Rebellion. Refusing any healing rehabilitation by acknowledging the pain they caused others, they have ceased to exist as part of God’s mercy.

(Welcome sharing your lives with you)

Closing

Well, my dears, it is humanly late. Mother Spirit and I so enjoy and welcome the human lives you share with us. We definitely promise to continue being with you. Keep in mind we are as near as your next thought, your next happy, “Hi Dad! Hi Mom! Glad to be with you in this wonderful mind we share, that you are part of. Michael, your Spirit of Truth is much appreciated. Keep shining away.”
