I have inserted the second option with a dash as you suggested, but it is still a bit to swallow, but your suggestion does make it more palatable.

By the way, I may be visiting Timothy between now and the New Year. Would it be possible to visit you as well as we have done in the past? If so, what time frames are best for you?
