Opening

TR: Let us pray now and open our hearts to God’s love, God’s joy. I dedicate this time to God’s will. I welcome the teachers. I open my mind and my heart to learn. Thank you.

Alana : I would speak to you about the great and the small. This is Alana.

D : Welcome, Alana.

Lesson

Alana : In constructing the heart room I have shown you how to expand into the vast perspective that is God’s love for you, each one of you, and for all members of the human contingent on your planet. In asking you to look up toward that entrance into what I have called the upper chamber, I have hoped to give you a lesson in how the very small may lead you into the very great. Each of you, except perhaps for our visitor, had an experience, I believe, of seeing only a small aperture into the upper chamber. Yet once you had managed to crawl through, shall we say, you entered a space of such vast extension as to be beyond your comprehension. The small leading to the great. I have called your friend, my little one. There could be the presumption that the name describes the size or the limits of the being. Yet, I have asked her, entrusted to her, a great task, to continue to gather you together and generate the lessons and the energy of love that has transpired here by the use of your beloved transmitter. Do I ask her to transmitt? No. Do I tell you she must grow bigger, or must be more forceful. No. I speak to her as she is, a “little one,” whose heart leads those who would respond to her, those who recognize what she holds within her heart, and so they choose to follow into something great, which is love. Your group might be described as small, yet I do believe that each of you has been transported, or bounced up into something far greater than the measurement of the group. You have been magnified. Your hearts have been magnified. Our lessons are part of such a magnification process. We look with you through God’s glass, magnifying glass, for God’s love is so much greater than anything you can imagine. Together, we look through God’s magnifying glass, we look through God’s eyes, we listen through God’s ears, and we study those concerns, those “problems” that beset you and beset your world. Never fear, this simple little task that we engage in this small group, is the opening, the aperture, into that greater expansion called universal love. If you do not become famous, shall we say, or well known, or even recognized by your neighbor as one who loves and loves magnificently, this does not erase the meaning and the purpose of our meeting here and now. Do I make myself clear, that each individual heart matters and matters greatly. And each individual lesson in love that is learned by even one makes that difference to your world. Each small step taken on the path of love is recognized by God and contributes to God’s purpose. It is God’s will that you learn to love. As you agree to learn the lessons of love, so you agree to God’s will. Do not trouble yourselves when you do not know what to do for one another. Or, you are stymied by the complexities of any one difficulty that presents itself to you. Continue to keep your focus upon entering that stillness wherein you will always find love waiting. It is not irregular, nor uncommon, for individuals to want to be able to make the great difference that tips the world toward light and life. I hope you have understood my lesson today as reassurance, reassurance of the most emphatic kind, that your singular efforts to learn to love and to share the love that is given to you by God thorough me and in this group and between each other, to share that love with others, that is the great step, that is the great step that always will show you the way. That is the great step that shows the way to others, merely by how you live your singular individual life on planet Earth, which I also am pleased to call Urantia. By that word, Urantia, I in no way wish to force any one to subscribe to a belief system that they have not embraced with their own heart and mind. It is, quite surely, a word, a name, that conveys meaning. Still, what is the greatest meaning in my communications with you is that small word, a word common to you all, love. Love is the message. Love is the task. Love is the lesson. Love is the learning. You recognize love by the way in which one treats another. There is respect for the diversity that exists in the realm of God’s love. There is fairness toward all those perspectives, those mannerisms, that collide with your own. In the surrender to love there is always the whole-hearted recognition that in love there is always more to learn and greater, wider embraces than the embrace you have known prior to each surrender. Do not fear. God’s love is here and is now available to all on your planet who would so eagerly sip from the cup of His love. I will allow you now to ask your questions, if there are any questions on your minds.

I will also give a special welcome to your visitor, whose trusting heart touches me with his faith and love. I give him a message from Legion. “Stand tall, my friend, as tall as your physical structure will allow you to stand. When you practice walking tall, practice, as well, imagining the force of your love and the power of your faith extending your physical structure beyond the material boundaries, so that you come to know that you have the ability to impact others with the truth and the reality of human love for God, and God’s love for human kind. Your footprints, my friend, are intended to leave messages of love, truth, goodness, as well as beauty. You have the power and the permission to carry God’s love with your head held high, wherever you go, in your work and in your play. Thank you. Thank you for listening and thank you for your presence today. Are there any questions?

Dialogue

D : I’m not sure there are any questions, I certainly don’t have any today, Alana. The rest of the group seems to be in a very deep, deep, deep meditational space. And with this fractious voice of mine I wish to bring them into the present and rouse them a bit so that they could be in a condition to ask questions that may be on their minds. I could stir them up a little bit. Thank you for the lesson today, Alana.

Alana : You are very welcome. Your “stirring up,” my friend, has an equal capacity to the footsteps of our beloved visitor. The capacity to bring people’s minds back to the realities of truth, goodness, beauty, and love. Therefore, as “fractious,” as you say, as fractious as your voce may be, it is welcome.

S : Alana, I have a very difficult task tomorrow which gives me a great deal of anxiety. Although it is not my task, I’m just the interpreter, but I have to fire somebody tomorrow from their job. I want to be sure that we are doing the right thing. It is very difficult for me to walk a calm space between the anger of her employers and what I know to be her own personal difficulties. I’ve been trying to put her in the heart room, and feel some sympathy for her, which has been helping, but I feel a kind of …. of anxiousness about this whole thing that I have to deal with. I will pray for help, but if there is anything you can say that might be helpful for me today, I would appreciate it.

Alana : We will speak to your anxiety in a moment, but first let us put you in the heart room, in the center of the heart room, and have some sympathy for you, as you say. Everyone, let us construct the heart room now. Let me touch each one of you with my love. Let me breathe into you through the many holes in your material being. Let me blow love from God through you across to the other, and to each one at each side, creating the structure of love, the heart room, and let us place S in the center, upon her “blue trampoline.” As you rest there, beloved S, let us look upon your anxiety. The decisions, the choices, the consequences are not all yours. Yet, you insist upon asking yourself to get it right. You can only do your job, your task, with as much love as you are capable of transmitting through your words and your style, or manner of putting this person to the fire. That is, of course, a slightly different way of describing what you must do. I can not tell you, Yes, You are doing the right thing! Nor can I tell you, Do not fear. The right thing will create the right result for you and her and her employers. What I can tell you is this, Trust in God’s love. Trust that any one event, which will inevitably lead to the next event, and the next, will eventually lead everyone to knowing God’s love. This is not an easy concept, although there are many books that attempt to describe it. For it is a concept that goes far beyond your grasp of time and space, and even (our grasp of) God’s intention. I remind you, my friends, that when you suffer anxiety we are there to blow love upon it. Surrender. Surrender your anxiety and do the best you can. Do not fear the future. Do not fear the future for yourself, or for another. Hold your faith steady. Open to love passing through you. Have I been of service to you?

S : Yes, Alana. Thank you. When I am reminded that the outcome is assured, it gives me a longer perspective on this one small event. I have been trying to think how I can accept love in this extremely trying and probably very messy and defensive situation. I will continue to focus on that. Thank you.

Alana : Thank you.

O : Alana, you were taking about the smallness leading to greatness. I was reminded of an incident last night with a friend who had just found out about his loved one, and he is very far away from her, had been in an accident and was in the hospital, gravely hurt. I was thinking about my response, which wasn’t anything big. How would you handle a situation like this where you come upon a friend who just found out about a terrible accident, and you can’t console them because nothing really can be done.

Alana : Consolation is service, my friend. When you express your love, the person who receives that love has chosen to receive love. There are moments in time when human beings choose not to be consoled. Allow for such moments of great grief, or fear, or doubt, and give your small effort to console and to assuage the great pain of life on your planet. Should your small gift of love and consolation be received, and thus give you equal consolation that God’s love is real and can bring comfort, that is indeed a wonderful experience, is it not? And I know this experience when my words of consolation are given to you, or to others by many means, and they are received. Still, it is always to be remembered that the life you live is endowed with two things: free will choice, to accept and receive, or to deny and refuse God’s love for you, and, that precious gem within, that still small voice within, that chamber of stillness within your heart, that magnetized arrow that points always to God’s love, that is provided to you for you to choose to use in order to bring consolation and the comfort of God’s love and guidance as you struggle and sometimes wander lost on the planet, “lost” in the sense that you suffer great losses of love and security that cause your mind confusion, doubt and fear. Do you think your question has been answered?

O : Yes. I come to see that my belief system was that I could have done more. What I hear from you is that I must learn to allow the other person to just not accept my consolation and to stay in the place they want to stay in that moment, they have the free will to do so, and I don’t have to experience any thoughts of I could have done more, which was the basis of my question.

Closing

Alana : Embracing one who fears to demonstrate that your embrace has given them the sense of love and comfort that you would have them receive from you, is quite similar to the embrace God gives to all. Give and you shall receive. This does not mean that others must receive what you have to give. This is a statement that tells you to give love away and you shall receive abundantly more love from God to give, once again, away. (Tape cut off and did not automatically go to other side.)
